Saturday (March 9) was the date of one of our favorite events of the year, Quincy Senior High's annual Showcase of Excellence. The all-day event features Show Choirs and Jazz bands from over 30 schools in Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. As usual, the talented music staff of the Quincy Public schools had a lot to be proud of. The dedicated volunteers and of course, the students, put on a fantastic show.​

The only disappointment for us is that we spend the day taking pictures of each band and choir, so we don't get to see as many performances as we would like, but it's great fun just getting to see the costumes and to interact with group after group of delightful young people.
