“Why should I have a Soft Touch Portrait Session?"
Because it’s fun! You’ll be so comfortable and relaxed, you won’t even think of it as having your picture taken. People don’t like having their picture taken because they don’t like the pressure of being told, “OK, now smile pretty!” They feel like they’re on stage and have to perform to make the picture turn out. A portrait session is not a performance. Our portrait sessions are relaxing and fun. It is up to us to capture your natural inner beauty... you can be yourself, no fake smiles.
“I’m too overweight, underweight, pale, my hair’s too long, short,...etc."

No one looks like a supermodel... not even supermodels. Supermodels look super because of their personal stylist, the skill of their photographer, plus a little “digital magic”... which is exactly why you’ll look super! Everyone has some features they like, some they don’t. We will consult with you to enhance the positive and downplay the negative — you will look great.
“Oh, I’d do it if I were 22 again.”
Quite frankly, we have photographed women from college age to grandmothers, and some of our least successful efforts have been the supposedly ideal 22-year-olds. Why? Mere youth cannot compete with the poise and grace that come with maturity. We use “digital magic” to deal with a line here or an extra pound there, but we can’t magically instill the self-confidence that comes with maturity. (Our best Soft Touch subjects are usually in the 25-55 range)
“Do my Soft Portraits have to be ‘revealing’?” — “Can they be...?”
No. Yes. Some of our clients just want some pretty portraits of themselves — they might be “softer” than a standard business portrait, but perfectly OK to give to Grandma for Christmas. Many, however, do want an album of more “provocative” portraits as a gift for their special guy. Many want both; some “tame”, some “not so tame”
“I’m not the feather boa type…” — “What if I don’t have a fancy negligee?”
There is no one look that’s right for everyone. We’ll work together to create beautiful portraits of your softer side, with a wide variety of poses and looks that will flatter you. You can wear casual clothes, dressy clothes, evening wear, “his” work shirt, lingerie, work-out gear, long flannel nightgown, or yes, a feather boa. Use your imagination — you can wear (or not wear) anything you want.
“I don’t have time”
Most Soft Touch Sessions are scheduled in the evening (when there’s less traffic in the studio), but we will work to find a time that’s right for you. The session will probably take a few hours depending on number of outfits, poses, etc., but you will enjoy every minute of it — besides, when was the last time you spent some time just on yourself? You deserve it!
“What would I do with a portrait package of just me?”
Most of our Soft Touch Portrait clients tell us that their portraits are for a special someone. Obviously you won’t want 3 dozen wallets to send in Christmas cards. — We offer elegant portrait albums to discreetly hold your collection of poses.
“How much will this all cost?”
Your initial investment is $386 which includes the session fee of $149 — this provides your personal stylist and the creation of the images — and a 12 image Album at $237. Most of our clients add additional images to their album, and may spend a few hundred more, depending on the number of poses. Many of our clients select wall portraits and other products as well.
“I want to do it, but I’m afraid I’ll be nervous”
You probably will be… for about five minutes. Everyone tells us the same thing: “I was really nervous, and worried that I wouldn’t look good, then I really surprised myself — I loved having my portraits made!” Here’s what one client said:

"Will you use any of my poses for samples or in ads?"
Never — unless you give us specific, written permission to do so.
“What if I don’t like the pictures?”
All Coonrod Photography portraits are guaranteed. If you don’t like them, you don’t keep them. We will re-take the portraits, or refund your money. You must be happy with our work.
